Police officers find a man stabbed to death in the Kansas City Northland neighborhood

One man died Saturday morning after being stabbed to death in a Kansas City Northland neighborhood, Kansas City police said.

Officers were dispatched to the 8800 block of Northeast 105th Place just before 11 a.m. when a caller told police a verbal argument led to someone being stabbed multiple times, KCPD spokeswoman Alayna Gonzalez said.

Officers found a man unresponsive and cold to the touch in a bedroom of a home with multiple stab wounds, Gonzalez said. Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Before officers arrived, a male suspect left the scene. Police tried to locate the suspect on Saturday, Gonzalez said, but did not have an exact description for the public.

“I want to emphasize this early on: This is a domestic violence situation, we believe, so we have no reason to believe there is an immediate threat to the area,” Gonzalez said.
