PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Philadelphia police are asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect in connection with at least three bank robberies in the city from late August through this Wednesday.
Police reported Thursday afternoon that the suspect was released as armed and dangerous.
Below is the series of bank robberies and the description of what the suspect was wearing according to the press release:
- Robbery 1: Citizen Bank at 2497 Aramingo Avenue in Kensington on August 26 was wearing a blue Nike cap, a gray logo shirt, dark pants, gray sneakers with white soles and a blue PECO drawstring backpack.
- Robbery 2: Citizen Bank at 2101 Cottman Avenue in Rhawnhurst on August 28, wearing a dark Eagles cap, a dark Heyday Athletic shirt, khaki cargo pants and white sneakers.
- Robbery 3: TD Bank at 6304 Roosevelt Boulevard in Oxford Circle on September 4, wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, tan/gray pants and a black hat with the words “NY” written on it. [New York] logo and white sneakers.
According to the press release, the suspect used a reminder letter.
According to authorities, the suspect is a man in his early 30s with a normal build.
Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect to immediately contact the FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force at 215-418-4000.
