Porter Airlines adds nonstop flights from Tampa International Airport to 3 cities in Canada

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Traveling from Tampa to three cities in Canada is about to get a little easier this winter season. Porter Airlines has announced it will expand its nonstop service to and from Tampa International Airport.

The airline will fly passengers from Tampa to Toronto, Ottawa and Halifax.

The flight to Toronto was seasonal last year, but starting October 27 the airline will offer daily flights. A second daily flight will begin on December 13.

Ottawa and Halifax are both new routes being added to Tampa International Airport’s offerings.

The flight to Ottawa, the capital of Canada, will operate four times a week from November 22. On December 5, travelers can choose from three weekly flights between Tampa and Halifax.

Tampa airport officials said the airline will fly each route with its growing fleet of new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, which offer 132 economy seats in a two-by-two configuration, meaning no middle seats are. Porter flights also include free Wi-Fi and free beer and wine.
