As News Center 7 reported Sunday, Crystal Cable was working at Oesterlen Services For Youth when she said three teenage patients threatened her and stole her car.

“The girls cornered me, and they threatened me with violence, threatened to hurt me with scissors,” Crable said. “They took my keys and my badge and took off.”

Around 2:40 a.m., Springfield police officers were dispatched to Mechanicsburg Road after reports of an armed robbery.

When they arrived, the suspects drove away and officers gave chase, according to an earlier report from News Center 7.

The suspects fled in Cable’s brand new 2017 Jeep Renegade.

About 30 minutes into the chase, the suspects stopped in Beavercreek after spike strips damaged the tires. The teens were taken into custody.

Crable also told News Center 7 on Sunday that she does not feel safe working alone in the facility.

“I don’t feel safe being there alone again,” she said. “Even with those three gone, who were the biggest threat. Who knows if anyone else had that thought in mind.”
