A possibly armed suspect crashed multiple times in North Hollywood during a chase with Los Angeles County officers.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department initiated the pursuit near the La Crescenta Valley for reckless driving. The chase continued through the San Fernando Valley, despite the suspect striking several vehicles, including officers. It continued into the streets of North Hollywood, where the driver sideswiped an innocent driver.

The suspect continued to run red lights and swerved through busy intersections before reaching Vineland Avenue and Lankershim Boulevard. There, another driver crashed into the driver’s side of the suspect’s vehicle.

Shortly afterwards the car turned into a fishtail due to the damage it had sustained in the crash. The damage caused the driver to swerve and collide with a curb on Vineland Avenue before stopping in the middle of the road with officers right behind him.

The suspect did not immediately get out of the car. Officers kept their distance after inflating airbags blocked the windows. The Los Angeles Police Department helped officers cordon off the area.
