A US Postal Service worker has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a colleague while on duty two years ago, authorities said Monday.
Gabriel Ekram Pagabe Ali, 47, was charged last week with assault and disenfranchisement of a woman at the U.S. Post Office in Teaneck on Nov. 26, 2022, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced.
On that date, Ali allegedly groped the woman over her clothing without her consent and pulled her into his office and a bathroom while she resisted, the complaint said. The victim, who is not named in the document, was an employee of the post office under Ali’s supervision.
