Thousands are now without power as the coming Pacific storm begins to hit Western Washington.
As of 5:45 p.m., Puget Sound Energy reports more than 31,322 customers are experiencing outages.
In total, the state reports that more than 46,398 people are without power. Some of the disruptions are caused by vegetation or equipment failures. Other faults are currently being investigated.

Snohomish County PUD said crews have been preparing for the storm.
“So we have been preparing for this storm for two days. Making sure our trucks have all the equipment they need to restore power as quickly as possible,” said Kellie Stickney, spokesperson for Snohomish Couty PUD. “We’ll even reach out to our partner agencies to make sure that if we need joint teams, we’ve already started those conversations.
The coming storm is expected to bring high winds, rain and snowstorms to the mountain passes.
