Report: President Biden tells governors he needs more sleep

President Joe Biden campaigns in Madison, Wisconsin, on Friday as tensions mount over his re-election.

Now new concerns have emerged following a report into the president’s fitness to serve.

Sources tell CNN that President Biden told Democratic governors on Wednesday that he wants to avoid scheduling events after 8 p.m. in the future so he can get more sleep.

According to those sources, several lawmakers were frustrated by the comment.

The Democratic governors were in Washington to meet with the president but were unable to contact him after his poor performance during the debate.

Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey met with both Democratic governors and the president in Washington, DC

But the New York Times reports that Healey in November doubted the president’s ability to win. The New York Times also reported that she did not speak during the meeting between governors and Biden.

Although the president says he wants to go to bed earlier, that didn’t stop him from staying up Thursday night to watch the Fourth of July fireworks at the White House.

Despite growing calls for him to step aside, Biden says he is pushing ahead.

“You got me, man. I’m not going anywhere,” the president recently told reporters.

Biden returns to the campaign trail today, heading to Wisconsin.

The Democratic National Convention is scheduled for next month.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
