HUDSON, Wis. — It’s the last weekend before Election Day and both campaigns are stopping in key battleground states.
On Saturday it was Gwen Walz in Hudson, Wisconsin at Hop and Barrel Brewing to woo and sway voters in the final stretch of the campaign.
“I trust that Wisconsin will do everything we can, and all Minnesotans stand ready to support you,” Walz said. “We’re good neighbors, and we’re in this together.”
In St. Paul, members of the Somali and Muslim communities gathered in the state capital to show their support for former President Donald Trump.
Many who take the stage today say they feel abandoned.
While expressing frustration with the Democratic party, speakers say they see the Republican party as a path forward for their communities.
“We want drugs off our streets, we want our children and our women and our girls protected. Those are just common core American values that we’re all fighting for and what I’ve seen is that the Democrats have let us down.
Both Governor Walz and Senator Vance will appear in Wisconsin on Monday.
