The international team couldn’t slow down the United States on Thursday. The United States could not stop the Internationals on Friday. But Mother Nature put them both in their place Saturday morning, postponing the entire tournament with a blanket of thick fog. The tournament was postponed for over an hour and started at 9:00 am Eastern.
Fog finished the match with only two of the day’s four four-ball games on the court. Scottie Scheffler and Collin Morikawa of the United States shared the first hole with Adam Scott and Taylor Pendrith of the Internationals. The Americans Tony Finau and Xander Schauffele had only teed off against Corey Connors and Mackenzie Hughes of the Internationals.
Four matches are also scheduled for Saturday afternoon. On Sunday, each player will play in singles to determine who wins the Presidents Cup.
