Firefighters battle forest fire near Corral Burn Wound

SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY – The progress of a fire near the Corral fire The burn scar in San Joaquin County has stopped after more than 200 acres burned Thursday afternoon.

Thursday’s fire was named the Hollow Fire after it started near Corral Hollow Road and Interstate 580, Cal Fire said. The fire is 70% contained and covers 210 acres.

No evacuations were conducted and no injuries were reported.

Wind speeds will be around 10-15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph in the area

Earlier this month, the Corral Fire started near Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Site 300 and jumped Corral Hollow Road before reaching the freeway. The fire forced evacuations and destroyed a home.
