PwC Middle East has agreed to acquire Emkan Education, a Saudi consultancy providing education and skills development consultancy services.

The acquisition is part of PwC’s efforts to support Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which aims to transform the education sector and develop a skilled workforce.

With the acquisition, Emkan Education’s team of professionals will join PwC’s education practice in the Middle East.

The company expects the Emkan team to further strengthen its capabilities in the education and skills sector in the region.

Hani Ashkar, senior partner at PwC Middle East, said: “We are delighted to welcome Emkan Education to PwC Middle East. This combination is an important milestone in our commitment to shape the future of education across the region.

Together we will help build a future-proof education ecosystem that empowers the next generation of leaders and innovators across the region.”

Emkan Education’s local expertise, together with PwC’s global reach, is expected to enable PwC to support regional clients in achieving their objectives and contribute to the development of the education ecosystem.

PwC Partner and Education & Skills leader Roland Hancock will oversee the combined efforts of both entities.

PwC Middle East KSA senior partner and Middle East chairman Riyadh AlNajjar said: “This acquisition strengthens our ability to help clients deliver world-class education while fostering the local talent and expertise that will be critical to the future success of the Saudi knowledge economy.”

Co-founder of Emkan Education Dr. Mounira Jamjoom said: “Joining forces with PwC Middle East marks an exciting new chapter for our consultancy.

“Together, we are committed to delivering customized solutions that will improve Saudi Arabia’s education system, boost human capital development and play a key role in achieving the transformative goals of Vision 2030.”

PwC Middle East has 30 offices spread across 12 countries in the region with approximately 12,000 employees.
