According to the Save Soil movement, about 52% of the world’s agricultural land is already in a barren state, based on data from the Intergovernmental Panel on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services. If current trends continue, 95% of the Earth could be affected by 2050. Martin Frick, director of the World Food Program’s global office in Berlin, joins us to discuss what’s at stake.
