Our next rainmaker will arrive on Wednesday afternoon. Light rain showers will develop in the Philadelphia area around 3 p.m., with heavier showers likely to begin after 5 p.m. The heaviest rain showers near the city are likely to be around 7-8pm, but the rain won’t fully clear until after midnight.
Then there will be some cooler winds on Thursday, with the mercury dropping, but that will bring us back to the season with highs in the mid-40s.

It’s a close call on Friday with a new system off the coast, but it looks like most of the precipitation will miss us offshore, with just a hint of moisture Friday bringing the chance of an evening or overnight rain or snow shower to the area brings.
Then we open the floodgates to the Arctic cold, just in time for the official start of winter on Saturday. Highs on Saturday will only be in the mid-30s, and Sunday will be even colder – highs in the 20s, making it the coldest of the season yet. While we’ll be cold on Monday, it looks like a fairly rapid warming trend is in store for Christmas and beyond.
