Report: Tom Kim receives warning from KPGA after locker room incident

Tom Kim reportedly only received a warning from the KPGA after the locker room incident two weeks ago at the Genesis Championship.

After a playoff loss in his native South Korea, 22-year-old Kim said he had no intention of causing harm opened the door to his locker and offered to pay for the repairs.

Kim said the matter was “closed” and that he did not believe the tour would subject him to further sanctions.

According to Korea KoongAng DailyKim escaped with a warning and no further punishment after the circuit determined in a disciplinary meeting on Wednesday that he “failed to maintain his dignity” after the tournament.

Kim, a three-time PGA Tour winner, has not played since the incident.
