GRAND MARAIS, Minn. – Search and rescue crews are in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness to evacuate a 9-year-old boy who was injured by a falling tree.

The Cook County Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post Wednesday that the tree landed on the boy’s tent during a storm.

Crews had not reached the boy’s campsite as of Wednesday evening.
