Rescued, rehabilitated manatee released after care at the Georgia Aquarium

The manatee named Tay Tay was found stranded earlier this year and required veterinary care after being hit by boat.

Before Tay Tay could be released back into Florida waters, she had to meet the necessary conditions to ensure her long-term survival.

Regaining weight was the key factor in her release and following her successful stint as part of the Manatee Rescue & Rehabilitation Partnership, Tay Tay was released back into the ocean at the Tampa Electric Company Manatee Viewing Center with the help of Zoo Tampa.
