A man was pistol-whipped during a home invasion in San Francisco’s Oceanview neighborhood early Friday morning, police said.

The robbery was reported at 1:42 a.m. in the area of ​​Plymouth Avenue and Farallones Street. Three male suspects entered the property’s gate and banged on the door of the home, and when the 58-year-old victim opened the door, he was struck in the head with a firearm as the suspects ran inside, according to San Francisco Police .

The suspects stole a safe and cash from the home before fleeing in an SUV and remained at large as of Friday. No descriptions of the suspects were immediately available to the police.

The victim was injured in the attack, but his injuries are not life-threatening.
