Rickwood Field Game Summary, Interview with Brody Brecht and The Good, The Bad and The Uggla

The San Francisco Giants faced the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday night. However, it was the game’s environment that stole the show. The renovated Rickwood Field, formerly home to the Birmingham Black Barons of the Negro League, was the setting for a game that took on special significance, with many former Negro League players in attendance. It was also the perfect way to commemorate Willie Mays’ legacy.

Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman discuss why this event went beyond just the baseball game being played, talking about Reggie Jackson’s poignant comments during the pregame show and the importance of taking Major League Baseball on the road to perform in special locations to play.

Also on this episode of the Baseball Bar-B-Cast, Jake and Jordan sit down with potential first-rounder Brody Brecht of the MLB Draft Combine to talk about his choice to play professional baseball over football the first time he once reached 160 km/h. as a pitcher and attended the University of Iowa at the same time as Caitlin Clark. The boys then close the show by delivering this week’s edition of The Good, The Bad and The Uggla.
