Los Angeles County officers swarmed a Downey neighborhood Wednesday afternoon after tracking down an alleged robbery crew.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the alleged robbery took place at a Foot Locker in Compton around 1:15 p.m. According to police, four suspects left the store with an unknown amount of items.
Officers eventually followed them to Dolan Avenue in Downey. Investigators and the department’s SWAT team immediately arrested three people.
The last suspect ran into the neighborhood and hid in a bush at a nearby home. After police searched the home, officers were able to determine the man’s location in the backyard.
They threw flashbangs to disorient him, and he was arrested without incident.
