Rollerblader killed after collision in West Los Angeles

A hit-and-run driver killed a roller skater at a busy intersection Friday night, Los Angeles police said.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the collision occurred just before 8:40 p.m. at the intersection of S. Bundy Drive and W. Olympic Boulevard in West LA.

Firefighters pronounced the victim dead at the scene. LAPD investigators described the suspect as a 40-year-old man with dreadlocks. Officers believe he was driving a black Dodge Durango.
