NEW YORK- Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani appeared in court Tuesday to answer questions his payments in the Georgia election defamation case.

In a surprising outburst during the hearing, Giuliani claimed he has no more money.

Giuliani owes $148 million to Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Wandrea Moss successfully sued him for defamation about false claims related to the 2020 presidential election.

The judge said Giuliani did that failed to relinquish assetsincluding his 1980 Mercedes and money from a Citibank account.

Giuliani officially fired his previous counsel on Tuesday. His new lawyer claimed that 90% of the required assets have been transferred. A request to postpone the trial was rejected.

“It went exactly as I expected. He judged us against everything,” Giuliani said. “The reality is I don’t have any cash. It’s all tied up. If I want to call a cab, I can’t do it. I don’t have a credit card. I don’t have a checking account. I have There’s no place I can withdraw money , except for a little bit that I saved, and it goes to almost nothing.”

The judge warned that Giuliani should not speak out again in court unless he testifies under oath, adding that there is no higher priority than complying with court orders.

The trial will resume in January.
