The B samples collected for Ryan Garcia’s win over Devin Haney returned two positive results, boxing writer Dan Rafael reported Thursday.

“Ryan Garcia’s B sample results were returned Thursday morning, 1 day after opening,” Rafael said on X, formerly known as Twitter. “I have the lab reports and the B samples, as expected, matching A samples – both are positive for the banned PED Ostarine related to VADA testing the day before and after the Haney fight.”

Garcia defeated Haney via majority decision on April 20, a stunning upset that resulted in Garcia losing 3.2 pounds amid questions about his state of mind. On May 1, pre-fight samples he submitted to the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association reportedly came back positive for Ostarine, a banned substance. Now his B samples have reportedly also tested positive for Ostarine.

Garcia, who has loudly proclaimed his innocence since the first samples came back positive, had a lot of feelings about the reporting of his positive B samples. He shared those sentiments on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Let’s go, we are positive. Positive vibes bruh. Yes, so happy,” Garcia wrote (via MMA Mania) in messages that have since been deleted. “IF YOU LIKE STEROIDS. I don’t care if I’ll never make money boxing again. Your loss is not mine because you framed me, the joke is on all of you. I will take all steroids.”

Garcia’s lawyers released a statement shortly after his messages disappeared.

“Ryan Garcia is committed to clean and fair competition and has never intentionally used a banned substance. Shortly after being informed of his positive test, Ryan voluntarily had his hair collected and sent to Dr. Pascal Kintz, the leading expert on toxicology and hair sample analysis. The results of Ryan’s hair sample were negative. This is consistent with contamination and demonstrably proves that Ryan had not taken Ostarine for a period of time – the only way he would have had any benefit in the ring. .

“Ryan has voluntarily submitted to tests throughout his career, which have always returned negative results. He also tested negative multiple times leading up to the fight against Haney. All of these factors, combined with his ultra-low levels of samples taken at April 19 and 20 (in the billionth part of a gram), indicate that Ryan fell victim to supplement contamination and never received any performance-enhancing benefit from the microscopic amounts in his system. We are certain that any of the natural supplements that Ryan used leading up to the fight will appear to be contaminated and we are in the process of testing the supplements to determine the exact source.”
