The Buffalo Sabers will take on the New York Islanders on Friday evening (November 1). They will look to bounce back after falling to the Florida Panthers in their last game.

The Islanders have had a rough start to the season as they have a 3-5-2 record and sit at the bottom of the Metropolitan Division. If this battle continues, they could become sellers later this season, and their best trading chip would be Brock Nelson. The 33-year-old forward has already sparked many rumors and would be a perfect player for the Sabres.
It’s no secret that the Sabres’ top six could use a real boost. Nelson would give them that, as the 2010 first-round pick is a consistent 30-goal threat and can play in the middle or on the wing.
Nelson scored at least 34 goals in his three previous seasons and scored 69 points in 82 games this past season. The Sabers could certainly use another forward who can perform like this in their lineup, so they need to give Nelson a boost this season. With the Sabers looking to add him, he would be a big splash.
