The Buffalo Sabers signed Jason Zucker to a one-year contract worth $5 million this offseason. While this move didn’t make much of a splash, it was certainly a great move for Buffalo early on.

After not getting on the scoresheet in his first three games, Zucker scored three goals and ten points in his last ten games. This has made him one of the Sabres’ top offensive contributors early on.
With this start, it’s absolutely fair to say that Zucker is far exceeding expectations. Only Tage Thompson, JJ Peterka and Alex Tuch have more points than Zucker on the Sabers at this point this season. He has also provided more offense than notable Sabers like Rasmus Dahlin, Dylan Cozens and Jack Quinn.
Now it will be very fascinating to see how Zucker performs from here. So far, he’s been an excellent addition for the Sabres.
