The suspect in a car chase in Sacramento was arrested Sunday in Vallejo, the California Highway Patrol said.
Sacramento police said they tried to pull over a car just before 8 a.m. near Richards Boulevard and Interstate 5.
The driver refused to stop and a pursuit ensued. Sacramento officers eventually abandoned the pursuit and allowed CHP to take over.
According to the CHP, the pursuit was called off for safety reasons, but they were able to determine the vehicle’s license plate number using the license plate number.
When officers went to the Vallejo address, they located the vehicle and initiated another pursuit.
CHP managed to spike two tires from the car and it quickly came to a stop. The driver was subsequently arrested after he tried to run from the car.
