Saturday’s annual St. Luke’s FitOne races will close several roads in Boise. Here’s what you need to know

The annual St. Luke’s FitOne event is held Saturday in Boise and, as usual, some road and lane closures will be necessary to accommodate the 5K, 10K and half-marathon races.

FitOne is a major fundraiser for St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital.

The road closures are adjusted slightly each year to avoid construction work along the various routes, so it is the responsibility of residents to take this into account.

These are the expected closures for commuters in the city:

03:00 to 10:00 – Parking is not allowed on Warm Springs Avenue, from Avenue B to the Idaho Botanical Garden.

05.00 to 08.00 am – W. Idaho Street from Capitol Boulevard to North Avenue B.

05:00 to 10:30 am – From W. Front Street to State Street and from S. 6th Street to S. 9th.

09:15 to 11:00 am – Capitol Boulevard from Front Street to River Street.

07.00 to 11.00 am – S. 9th Street from River Street to University Drive.

07:00 am to at least 11:00 am – Capitol Boulevard from Idaho Street to Crescent Rim Drive and Crescent Rim itself will be closed until the last participant has passed.

07:00 to 12:00 – S. Americana Boulevard at the intersection with W. Shoreline Drive to Emerald Street at the intersection with S. Roosevelt Street will be reduced to two lanes. Latah Street to the intersection with Morris Hill Road will also be reduced to two lanes.

06:00 AM to 09:00 AM – Marden Street will be reduced to one lane.

06:00 AM to 09:00 AM – Warm Springs from Broadway and Avenue B to Starview Drive will be reduced to one lane, with eastbound traffic only. Westbound traffic will be diverted at Parkcenter Boulevard to continue west toward downtown.

07:30 to 10:00 am – River Run Drive from Parkcenter Boulevard to the Cottonwood Apartments will be reduced to one lane.
