Due to tropical storms and hurricane rains, Savannah has experienced flooding this year.
The area is under another flood warning as a series of heavy rain and storms move across the southern part of the state.
The National Weather Services has issued an advisory for Bryan, Bulloch, Chatham, Effingham, Evans, Liberty, Long and Tattnall and southeastern South Carolina, including the next county, Jasper, through 1 p.m. Thursday.
Around 11 a.m., the NWS reported that Doppler radar indicated heavy rain was moving into the area from the southwest. Between 3 and 5 centimeters of rain fell. Additional rain amounts of 2 to 3 inches are expected across the area. This additional rain is likely to result in minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
