American Sean O’Malley will defend his bantamweight title in a UFC 306 bout against Merab Dvalishvili on Saturday night at the Sphere in Las Vegas. The two competitors have exchanged verbal abuse in preparation for the fight, with O’Malley threatening to reopen a wound on Dvalishvili’s face that has only recently healed and Dvalishvili calling O’Malley’s coach a “snake” for disrespecting him.

The night of fights is being billed as Noche UFC 306 because it falls on the weekend of Mexico’s Independence Day. The main card features a women’s flyweight title fight between champion Alexa Grasso and former champion Valentina Shevchenko.
