CHICAGO (CBS) — Police issued a community alert Monday alerting the public to a series of robberies in the Bronzeville neighborhood last month.
In each incident, two men got out of a white sedan and approached a man walking down the street. The robbers violently beat each victim and took his belongings, police said.
In one incident, the robbers showed a knife. The robbers were wearing black hooded sweatshirts and ski masks, police said.
The robberies took place at the following times and locations:
- 6:50 PM Saturday, November 9 in the 3200 block of South Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
- 11:15 PM Saturday, November 9 in the 3100 block of South Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
- 7:00 PM Sunday, November 10 in the 3200 block of South Michigan Avenue.
- 7:30 PM Thursday, November 14 and 7:00 PM Friday, November 15, again in the 3100 block of South Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
