Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff returns to Arizona for the second time in 11 days on Saturday to campaign for his wife, Vice President Kamala Harris.
Emhoff is one of several campaign surrogates planning events across the state to encourage Arizonans to vote early for Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz.
The second gentleman is a familiar face in Arizona. On October 8, Emhoff spoke at a Republicans for Harris event in Mesa, a fundraising event in Paradise Valley, and at the South Mountain Community Center in Phoenix.
Emhoff urged Republicans and independents to vote for his wife in what he called the “most important election of our nation’s life.”
He has been to the state several times during Harris’ time in the White House. In September, Emhoff visited Tucson to warn about the threat Trump posed to reproductive rights on the same day as Trump’s rally in the city.
Emhoff’s visit to Arizona follows a brief stop in Reno, Nevada, on Friday.
Emhoff is an attorney who focused on media, entertainment and intellectual property law before leaving his practice when Harris was elected vice president. He is the first Jewish wife of a president or vice president.
