The fans in London were treated to as unlikely an ending as you will ever see.
With the Mets leading 6-5 in the bottom of the ninth after scoring three in the top of the inning to take the lead, the Phillies had the bases loaded and one out, and looked ready to give the Mets another dagger of loss. .
But on an 0-2 roll of Drew Smith, Nick Castellanos hitting a dribbler in front of the plate with a broken bat, and Luis Torrens made magic possible. Torrens jumped out of his stance to field the ball, turned and retreated to hit home plate, then fired an accurate throw to first to double Castellanos and give the Mets the win.
