ST. PAUL, Minn. — A fire at a St. Paul homeless camp destroyed at least six tents Wednesday morning.

According to the St. Paul Fire Department, the fire occurred on a encampment located behind the Union Gospel Mission in the Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary, just east of downtown.

Officials say firefighters worked diligently to quickly contain and extinguish the fire.

No injuries were reported and officials say nearby rail lines were not affected.
