(CBS DETROIT) – Showers and thunderstorms are expected overnight through Saturday morning. There is a chance of isolated strong to severe storms, especially in Lenawee County and the western side of the state.
Strong wind gusts of around 80 km/h and small hail are the biggest threats. Temperatures will remain mild and won’t drop into the low 60s until Saturday morning. High temperatures will reach around 80 degrees again with more sun in the afternoon.

Saturday night will see mostly clear skies, while temperatures will drop into the upper 50s and warm into the mid 70s in the afternoon. The wind is also increasing, with southeasterly winds between 5 and 25 km/h and gusts of up to 40 km/h.
Dry conditions will continue until Sunday morning, but a new round of showers and storms will begin Sunday afternoon, overnight and into Monday. These storms have the potential to become strong to severe, as areas primarily south of Interstate 69 (excluding St. Clair County) have a marginal (one in five) risk of severe weather.
These storms can produce heavy downpours, strong winds up to 60 miles per hour, hail up to an inch in diameter, and an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.

Showers and storms will continue through our Memorial Day, with temperatures only peaking in the low 70s and breezy conditions. The wind will be from the west, 15 to 30 km/h, with gusts around 30 km/h.
