Taylor Sheridan Yellowstone comes to an end next weekend after five riveting seasons. Are you ready to watch your favorite western drama ride off into the sunset? Starring Sam Elliott, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill Yellowstone prequel series follows members of the Dutton family as they travel west across the Great Plains towards Montana. All eight episodes of this limited series are currently streaming on Paramount+.

In 1923a new generation of Duttons struggled to maintain control of their ranch amid the early stages of the Great Depression and under the pressure of Prohibition. Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren star in this Yellowstone precursor. Season 1 is now streaming on Paramount+ and the series has already been renewed for Season 2.

Lawyers: Bass Reeves

Lawyers: Bass Reeves tells the story of the first black U.S. marshal west of the Mississippi. Season 1 of the anthology series stars David Oyelowo, Lauren E. Banks, Dennis Quaid and Donald Sutherland. Despite Taylor Sheridan’s involvement as executive producer, the western series is not attached Yellowstone. Season 1 is now streaming on Paramount+ and the series has already been renewed for Season 2, but since it’s an anthology, we can’t know for sure what Season 2 will entail.

Joe Pickett

Going beyond the westerns of the period, Joe Pickett centers on a game warden and his family living in Wyoming, in a small town on the brink of destruction. Michael Dorman stars as the titular character. Both seasons are currently available to stream on both Paramount+ and Amazon Prime Video.

Langmire

This long-running A&E series follows Walt Longmire: a classic Western hero who works as a sheriff in Wyoming and closes cases in the open. Robert Taylor stars as the titular character. You can stream all six seasons Langmire on Peacock and Netflix.

Out of reach

How about a western-meets-sci-fi instead? Out of reach also set in scenic Wyoming, but in the case of the Abbott family, they aren’t trying to solve murders or catch poachers, they’re just trying to figure out why a black hole has seemingly formed on the land of their family.
