PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The first day of June ended up being a perfect start to meteorological summer with slightly above normal temperatures, sunshine and low humidity.
Our dry weather will continue all day Sunday, with high temperatures reaching 84 degrees in Philadelphia.
During the afternoon the sky starts to become cloudy, but we can still catch some rays of sunshine throughout the day.
The humidity will also rise somewhat on Sunday.
Tonight after 10pm there is a chance of a few showers and even thunderstorms, but severe weather is unlikely. A few showers and non-severe storms may occur tomorrow morning in areas south of the city.
A few more showers and thunderstorms are possible Monday evening, but the next major system we are monitoring will impact the region Wednesday through Friday.
At the moment it looks like Wednesday to Thursday will be the wettest period.
