Police in Kutztown, Pennsylvania are warning customers to check their bank statements after a skimming device was found at the CVS store on Constitution Boulevard.

Kutztown Borough Police said the skimmer was located at the Santander ATM in the photo section of the store on Sunday, December 1, and was discovered after a customer had problems with their card not being read properly.

Police said the skimmer, which looked like a circuit board, had a card reader and a hidden camera above the keypad to capture customers’ PIN codes.

The skimmer and camera have been removed from the ATM, but police have not said how long they suspect the device was there before it was discovered.

Anyone who has recently used the ATM is urged to check their bank statements for unauthorized transactions and report any suspicious purchases.
