GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) — A small plane crashed Wednesday in Galloway Township, Atlantic County, police said. The pilot used a parachute to slow the plane during the crash and was not injured.

The accident happened just before 4 p.m., hitting some trees near Liebig Street and Genoa Avenue.

It is unclear what caused the plane to crash.

The identity of the pilot is currently unknown.
