Smoke has been seen billowing from Boston’s Ted Williams Tunnel during holiday trips

BOSTON – Smoke could be seen coming from the Ted Williams Tunnel in Boston on Friday afternoon.

A WBZ-TV viewer on a Commuter Rail train captured the video of the thick black smoke coming from the tunnel.

Emergency services are on site, but it is unclear what caused the smoke and whether anyone was injured. This comes on the first day of Memorial Day Weekend, where it already is heavy traffic on a busy travel day.
