MINNEAPOLIS Tuesday will be another fairly dreary day in the Twin Cities, with a snow shower expected in time for the evening commute.
Highs will be in the mid-20s, with the storm system bringing a track of up to a half inch of snow to the metro. More accumulation is expected between I-90 and I-94.
Wednesday will be cold and dry with highs around 20 degrees. A northwesterly wind will bring cold air, making it difficult to reach the upper teens in some areas.
For now, the next system will come into action early and stick around all day, likely leading to a winter weather advisory. It could bring more than 2.5 inches of snow around the I-94 corridor with higher totals north of 94.
Thursday remains cold with highs in the teens as arctic air moves in. The snow will end leaving dry conditions overnight.
Friday will remain frigid through the weekend, with highs in the teens and lows below freezing, before a warming trend begins next week. We should have more sun next weekend.
