August 23 – MIDDLEBURG – A 32-year-old Beaver Springs man is accused of raping a child.
Ryan B. Martin is being held on $100,000 bail for sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl on Aug. 14, according to a criminal complaint filed by state police in Selinsgrove.
The child alleged she had been sexually abused by Martin during an interview at the Child Advocacy Center in Sunbury and that he had told her not to tell anyone, court documents show.
During an interview with police, Martin admitted he had “a problem” and had sexually abused the child several times over the past few years, court documents show.
Martin was arraigned on two counts of rape of a child, aggravated indecent assault of a child, sexual assault, involuntary sexual intercourse and corruption of minors, as well as two counts of indecent assault, before District Judge Bo Trawitz.
He is being held on bail pending a preliminary hearing on September 4.
