Some North Jersey schools are announcing delayed openings due to Monday’s snow

Parts of northern New Jersey will see some snow and a wintry mix Sunday through Monday morning.

The threat of inclement weather has led some school districts to announce delayed openings on Monday, December 16.

The National Weather Service is predicting snow in northwestern parts of New Jersey overnight. The winter precipitation is expected to turn into just rain sometime on Monday morning.

“Untreated roadways may become slick… potentially impacting Monday morning commutes, especially along/north of I-80,” the NWS warned in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
