Some of Connie’s frozen pizzas were recalled due to plastic concerns

CHICAGO (CBS) — Palermo Villa Inc. is recalling 1,728 Connie’s Thin Crust Cheese Pizzas due to possible plastic in the product.

The frozen pizzas were distributed to supermarkets in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin. They have already expired: their expiration date was November 27 this year.

The recall alert, which is being issued with the full cooperation of the Food and Drug Administration, is being issued out of an abundance of caution in case anyone still has an affected pizza in the freezer. There is nothing left on the shelves.

The pizzas involved come from lot number MR199856. Pizzas from other lot numbers are not affected.

Anyone with an affected Connie’s Pizza in their freezer should throw it away or return it to the store for a refund and should absolutely not eat it.
