It didn’t take long for one of the 2025 BMW M5 sedans to make headlines for all the wrong reasons. In Poland, an employee of a local BMW dealer reportedly crashed a G90 M5, bringing an abrupt end to what should have been a routine drive in one of BMW’s most powerful sedans to date.
The exact details surrounding the accident remain unclear, but reports suggest the driver lost control and collided with roadside fixtures. Images from the scene show significant damage concentrated around the driver’s side door and front fender. Plastic waste is strewn across the site and the force of the impact activated the car’s airbags, highlighting the severity of the collision.
Despite the visible damage, the M5 may still be salvageable. However, concerns remain about possible structural damage that could make repairs uneconomical. These modern performance machines are designed with lightweight and advanced materials, meaning even seemingly minor incidents can lead to expensive repairs.
The 2025 BMW M5 is no ordinary sedan. Equipped with a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 hybrid engine, it officially produces 717 hp and 738 Nm of torque. However, recent dyno testing has shown that actual output may be closer to a staggering 820 hp and 859 lb-ft. Such enormous power requires careful handling, especially when driving near the limit.
