Sources: Bertāns invited to workout for Warriors; no workout invite yet originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area
The Warriors are still looking for ways to improve their roster for the 2024-25 NBA season.
In the team’s latest move, Golden State has invited Davis Bertans to work out with the team, sources told Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area, with one source referring to the veteran forward as a “good name to keep an eye on” as the Warriors review multiple free agents for a potential training camp invite. According to Johnson, no training camp invite has yet been extended to Bertans.

NBA insider Marc Stein was the first to report the news following an Instagram story post from BSA Basketball CEO Arturs Kalnitis, who is Bertāns’ agent, stating that Bertāns “has teamed up with the [Golden State Warriors]The agent also wished Bertāns much success in the Bay Area.
Nicknamed the “Latvian Laser” for his sharpshooting skills, Bertāns, 31, has played in 43 games total during the 2023-24 season with both the Oklahoma City Thunder and Charlotte Hornets. He’s a career 39.6 percent shooter from deep and enters his ninth NBA season looking to make the roster — possibly with the Warriors, who could certainly use another scoring option.
Golden State will hold a training camp in Hawaii starting October 1, where they will play an exhibition game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
