ST. PAUL, Minn. — South St. Paul police shot at a man Friday evening who allegedly brandished a gun at them.
According to police, officers were called to an apartment building on the 200 block of Grand Avenue West for a report of a disturbance around 10:15 p.m. When they arrived, they found a 54-year-old man in a parking garage “waving and pointing a gun at them.”
At least one officer fired his weapon, according to the news release.
The man was arrested and a weapon was found at the scene. He is being held on suspicion of second-degree assault.
No one was injured, police said.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension responded to the scene. West St. Paul Police are investigating.
