Southwest Florida celebrates Independence Day with parades, fireworks and drones

In southwest Florida, Independence Day isn’t over yet.

With major fireworks in Naples, Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Bonita Springs and parades on Thursday celebrating the United States’ 248th birthday, residents and visitors can continue the festivities Saturday night as the region’s first drone show takes to the skies over Naples.

During the drone show, hundreds of small, illuminated drones can be seen creating colorful designs and animations in the air.

The event will also feature bouncy castles, remote control cars, laser gaming, face painting, a DJ, an open-air screening of the film “Night at the Museum” and much more.
