According to the Los Angeles Police Department, more than 50 cars were involved in a street takeover in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday morning, some of which went up in flames.

Video shows a car completely engulfed in fire in the middle of an intersection as a thick cloud of black smoke billows from the vehicle. LAPD said several vehicles were impounded after authorities responded to the area near East 18th Street and Main Street, where several vehicles caught fire and burned out.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, firefighters received a call about a car fire around 3 a.m. and sent two fire trucks to the scene. LAPD officers also arrived on the scene to investigate.

No one has been arrested, police said.

Authorities have not released further details.
