Sept. 5 – One arrest was made during an Aug. 23 alcohol enforcement investigation in Stutsman County, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said.
The patrol and the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office conducted a breathalyzer test at 8600 Stutsman County Road 42 on August 23 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Seventy-five vehicles were stopped and three drivers were assessed for impairment during the sobriety test, the patrol said. The patrol said the drivers assessed for impairment were not arrested.
The patrol said a vehicle that turned to avoid the checkpoint was stopped at 107 miles per hour in a 65 mile per hour zone. The patrol said the driver was arrested for driving under suspension and given a ticket for driving without insurance.
According to police, one driver was fined for opening a container.
