Welcome to the weekend!
It will be a beautiful sunny and warm fall weekend with one or two spots possibly reaching 80° on Saturday.
Absolutely beautiful for the Phillies games. Our NEXT weather maker arrives late Sunday night into Monday morning with another round of showers and clouds, but those shower chances end mid-morning Monday and sunshine returns soon.
Then we welcome a brisk and cool pattern next week with only highs in the 60s and morning lows in the 40s.
Speaking of the 40s, so far the coolest temperature we’ve had this season is September 9 at 54 degrees, but the average first occurrence of low temperatures in the 40s is September 30. I think we’ll dip into the 40s by mid-week. Cooler air flows in from the north.
As for the tropics, Kirk remains a major Category 4 hurricane but is heading toward the North Atlantic. Leslie is also now a hurricane, but poses little to no threat of landfall at this time.
As always, the Next Weather Team will stay ahead of the storm for you and your family and warn you of potential impacts.
